Ian Barrett kindly sent me this instructions, as many of you may not have recieved them with your car I am sure you will find them very useful.
The Gemini security system installed on your vehicle is the most advanced security system recommended by vehicle manufacturers.
ARMING/DISARMING OF YOUR GEMINI ALARM
Pushing the BLACK button on the hand held transmitter will switch the alarm on. The alarm activation will be acknowledged by a single pulse of the direction indicator lights and by an acoustic signal on compact models.
Pushing the RED button on the transmitter twice will switch on the alarm with the Remote Sensor Disconnection active (for example ultrasonic sensor).
In this case the alarm activation is acknowledged by two pulses of the direction indicator lights and by two acoustic signals on compact models.
After its connection the alarm offers the following functions:
- central door locking;
- electric windows closing;
- passenger compartment, boot and bonnet pin switches;
- engine immobilisation.
Upon returning to your vehicle operating the BLACK button the transmitter will de-activate the alarm. The de-activation is acknowledged by 3 pulses of the direction indicator lights and by 3 acoustic signals on compact models. If five signals are evident on de-activation then one or more circuits have been triggered during the armed period.
PERSONAL PROTECTION AND PANIC ALARM
When the alarm is armed the siren will be activated by operating on the RED button of the radio transmitter. This function is very helpful to draw attention in case of aggression or to warn off a potential thief from the vehicles.
PASSIVE ARMING
Your alarm can be activated automatically, even if you forget. If this function is part of the system you can remain in your vehicle without the alarm arming. However, if you leave the vehicle the alarm will arm itself automatically after 15 seconds. The central door locking is obtained only by operating the transmitter.
ANTISTRESS
Gemini products are designed to conform to European legislation on noise pollution whereby, if the alarm triggers a pre-set number of times from an internal protection circuit, the alarm will automatically isolate this circuit. However, the remaining security circuits will stay active.
PERSONAL SECURITY CODE
The enclosed Card is to enable you to record the following information data:
