Growl 2004 Print

2004 saw the Biggest Growl ( not by no of Grifiths attending though). It was held at the Heritage Museum at Gaydon in the Midlands.

A flier from the event

"Amongst the organisations supporting the event will be TVR Power (showing off their Nitrous kits) and Silverstone TVR.

Silverstone are to take along the Tuscan 2 Convertible as well as a T350 and a Tamora. The Tuscan 2 will be on show in their showroom today and tomorrow before heading off to the Growl.

The event will also mark the debut of a brand new bespoke wheel and tyre package designed for Griffith and Chimaera. Putting their experience in the wheel manufacturing industry to work, the aftersales team at Silverstone has introduced a heat-treated, motorsport-derived, lightweight multispoke wheel which will allow Griffith and Chimaera owners to upgrade their existing wheels with 17 fronts and 18 rears.

With different machining, the wheels will also shortly be available as an alternative to the Spider wheels for T350, Tamora and Tuscan Speed Six.

In a joint collaboration with the event organisers, attendees of the Griff Growl and TVR Gathering will be eligible for a 100 discount voucher at Silverstone TVR to use against one of its Premium factory services. This weekend 'Griffith Growl' at the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon is expected to attract around 100 examples of the car."

Sorry for the lack of pictures but I didnt attend, I will add more as and when I get some.

Paul Bennett tell us about the pictures "The ocean haze car is the original publicity car still owned bhy the factory. I took this early on Saturday as soon as Heath arrived.
The next one was taken on Sunday - sorry there was no better vantage point.
The third one was all the Griffs who stayed over the hotel and suffolkfox's Cerb in the foreground.
The last one is the first production car kept in immaculate condition by Dave McLoughlin.
There was an original Griff from 1967 which I was told was the last of the original Griffs - unfortunately it left around lunchtime so I didn't get a photo".

Paul and Andrea have sent me some pictures, Thanks P and A
