Welcome!

Welcome to the home of TVR Car Club, Bristol. We meet on the 3rd Sunday of every month and head out for a rumble to various locations in the UK. Please see the About page to find out more about who we are and where we meet.

Next Meeting

Our next Monthly Meeting is on Sunday 21st December. It's our annual Tinsel Tivs run with some quality prizes for the best dressed TVR and passengers, so dig out the tinsel and Santa hats and get festive for this one. We’ll head off afterwards to the Blue Bowl for a Christmas lunch to warm up.

Meeting Point 1
Run will leave the Willy Wicket at 10.30am sharp Sunday morning, so get there in plenty of time to say hello and top up that fuel tank.

Meeting Point 2
If coming up to the Willy Wicket is out of your way, or like Scorcher, you need your beauty sleep, feel free to meet us at Chew Lakes in the lay-by on the A368. This is our first photo stop. Meet us there at 11am. We will leave at 11.15am for a Gorge Rumble then on to the pub.

Food
If you want to eat, I need confirmed food orders and numbers a week BEFORE we arrive. You can order roast beef or turkey or choose from their menu at www.thebluebowl.co.uk.

As usual, please let us know if you are coming so we can keep a tally, letting us know where you are meeting us, if you are eating and what your menu choice is.

Please arrive with plenty of time to say hello, kick tyres and top up with fuel. To find out more, email Simon or post on the forum to ask any questions about the event.

Gurt Lush Polo Tops

You can now order your TVRCC Bristol 'Gurt Lush' polo top on-line. Please click on the clothing link to see how.

Once back at the Blue Bowl for lunch and after a bite to eat we had some awards to give out, these were presented by our much loved ex-RO Sharon, and gave us all a giggle. The winners are;

Tea Drinker of the Year Award - For Single handedly keeping the British tea industry in business

"Dave Blanchard"

Salesman of the Year Award - For convincing his wife that a Cerbera is a sensible family car

"Paul 'Wacko' Jackson"

Snoozer of the Year Award - For always managing to get her beauty sleep in a Griff 500

"Lady Sal"

Picnic of the Year Award - For having the most classy, posh and ultimately best ever TVRCC picnic

"Wedgeman Bob"

GPS Award - For still managing to get lost despite having satnav, route map, mobile phone and walkie-talkie

"TamoRRa Ian"

Member of the Year Award For outstanding contribution to TVRCC Bristol - despite the horror of losing his beloved and beautiful Tuscan to fire, he still attends meetings with enthusiasm and a brave smile

"Simon Adams "

I would just like to finish up by adding that we all wish Sharon the best with her new role in the TVRCC as Deputy Events coordinator, and hope that she continues to attend as many runs in 2009 as she has in 2008. We applaud you for your enthusiastic, one of a kind RO style, things have and never will be dull while you are around. Check out the pics in the photo gallery!

October was our traditional last big tour of the year and the route was been designed by our very own Tuscan Simon. It was a fab day out with over 40 cars and took in some stunning roads and scenery in Monmouthshire, the Brecons and the Rhonda Valley.

September was spent at the fabulous Goodwood Revival. Fancy dress was the order of the day and a greta time was had by all.

Back in August a fab route and day out was organised by Rich and Cath who took us for sandcastle competitions, icecream and sunshine to Lyme Regis.

Remember, you don't have to own a TVR to be in the TVR CAR Club - it is not an owners club, it's an enthusiasts club. We hope to see you (new faces and old) at some of the fantastic events lined up! Give me a call or drop me an email if you want to join us.

All the best,
Simon (Tusc_si)
