Dont Be Lazy, Used Car Roadshow |
|
After a request on Pistonheads by Tom Meguire for a Griffith that could be used on the show "Used car Roadshow" . Its in its Third series now and is shown on ITV4. It is very much consumer-interest led programme; our two presenters, Jason Dawe (ex-Top Gear presenter & Sunday Times motoring journo) and Penny Mallory (ex-Driven presenter), use their expert knowledge to advise viewers as to the pit-falls and tricks of the used car market. The main backbone of the show, however, is where they help one member of the public find the car of their dreams within their budget and wish list. Here Jason's used car bargaining skills come into their own as he gets the best price for the viewer's ideal car.

In addition to this we also have various features such as Teenage Kicks - where Jason and Penny look back at cars from their youths that they lusted after but could not afford the insurance on, never mind actually owning. Now, years later, some of these are actually affordable to mere (motoring) mortals.
Another such item is called Free Motoring - this is where Jason points out cars that have reached a point in their lives where they can be bought now and will hold their residual value over at least the next 12 months, this can be due to the fact that they haved just bottomed-out in value or they have reached such an iconic status that they will not depreciate much further, if any.
Jon Wood put his name forward and his 1995 TVR Griffith 500 was picked to star on the show. Jon aka "Lazytus" (I'm guessing a Happy Mondays fan ) took his Griffith up to Leeds Recently to meet the Team and stand by while his Griffith was be used to Feature in the Programme. So watch out to see how the Griffith Performs on the show and to see what they think about the TVR Griffith. The Show is to be aired on Used Car Roadshow on 23rd May (ITV4) at 8PM. It is also going to be repeated on the following Saturday 26th May at 7pm, so you shouldnt miss it. |
