Any TVR owner with the task of finding out which fuse has blown in their car faces several challenges. The fuses are often located in dimly lit and inaccessible locations and require each fuse to be removed and either inspected or electrically tested. With some fuse boards containing over 20 fuses, this can take some time - and it is easy to make a mistake, especially if the fuse has gone during a night time journey in bad weather.

Wouldn't be great if there was some way that the blown fuse could be easily identified? Well, now there is. Steve Heath Engineering Ltd has launched TVR specific packs of glow fuses that light up when the fuse has blown - making it easy to identify and replace. The fuses are colour coded and numbered to show their current rating - making them easy to identify. There is no need to know which fuse protects which circuit or to remove and check each one. A complete fuse panel can be checked in seconds just by looking at it.
| | The fuse packs also include the 100 amp alternator strip and 40 amp fan fuses (where applicable) and typical fuse layouts. As an option, the packs can be supplied with a pair of long nose pliers which make fuse removal very easy and a compact digital multimeter to help trace electrical faults that are not down to a simple blown fuse.
| | The glow fuse packs are currently available for Wedges, S series cars, Griffiths, Chimaeras and Cerberas. Prices start from £15.99 including p&p to UK addresses and VAT. They are available online at www.tvrextras.co.uk or by phone to 01908 375537. For other TVR models, please contact Steve Heath Engineering Ltd.
