A great opportunity has come along for a lover of the marque that wants to own a part of the TVR History. Owner Al has decided to put His Griffith up for sale, its one of the first three made and Shown on the 1991 Motorshow TVR Stand.
Words from current owner Al
This is my wonderful TVR Griffith, she is one of three shown at the 1991 motorshow and the only one sold shortly afterwards by TVR, the other two were kept on as development cars and had various engines fitted and other later additions. For this reason she can be described as the most original of the three. After the Motorshow she was used as a demonstrator for Harrogate Horseless Carriages, a well known TVR main dealer at the time. In May of 1992 she was bought by the previous owner to me who kept her for 13 years. As you can imagine by the mileage she has only been used as a fun car on high days and holidays. I have owned her for a year and have added 3500 miles, including a fantastic trip to Le Mans last year, during which she behaved faultlessly.

She is Pearl Yellow with a black roof and green full leather interior and green Wilton carpets. She was fitted with an uprated stereo from new and also the uprated alloy wheel option of split rims, which are polished. She has had a few additional alloy bits fitted and uprated from brakes, but nothing that can't be put back to standard, which I am willing to do should the winning bidder require it. She is classed as pre-production so has a few minor differences to those produced for customers, however she is also the first customer Griffith. There are minor interior trim differences, long loom on the ECU to allow modification whilst driving along in development, badges are stuck on rather than those that have studs and bolt through the body, there are no drilled holes behind the badges, etc, etc.
She is featured in The TVR Griffith Story by Roger Shackleton on pages 110/111 and was also featured in the TVR Car Club Sprint magazine in August 2005 on pages 22/23. She is a very well known car and a piece of TVR history.
She will come with 12 months MOT and 6 months road tax. She is very original but is not perfect, bearing in mind she is over 14 years old.
I am reluctant to let her go and if I don't get a good price she will stay with me and just be used for good days in the Summer months again. I had intended to keep her, but feel the need for a change after 11 years of TVR ownership and would like her to go to a good home.
I may px for a Good V8 Cobra or cheap chim/Tuscan/V8 Tiv + cash
