This new bonnet stay kit for TVR Griffiths made from polished stainless steel  is a great improvement over the original components. Replacing the original bonnet cross member with 12mm diameter tube with a spherical bearing fitted in the centre, enables the bonnet to be safely supported in middle of its width, without the cross member distorting under the weight of the bonnet, and causing the bonnet stay to rub against the underside of the bonnet.

Supporting the bonnet in the middle also makes the bonnet much more stable in windy weather, and does not hang down on one side when having the bonnet stay supporting the bonnet at one end of the cross member.
At  each end of the cross member are M6, long nuts welded onto the ends of the tube, and these are screwed onto the M6 socket cap screws which secure the white nylon rollers to the outside faces of the bonnet, via the existing nuts bonded into the bonnet itself.
The stay clips up into the existing stay clip on the underside of the bonnet, and when the bonnet is open, the base of the stay locates into the existing plate fixed to the inner wing.
